It’s very difficult to leave yourself with a reasonable approach shot by taking the long way around, so your best shot is to try to lay up in line with the pathway through the trees to the green. If you pull that off, you can either play a toned-down driver to reduce distance while keeping it below the trees (here’s a fantastic hole-out through the shortcut path) OR you can expect to have the trees knock the ball down and hit it closer to full strength (here’s a shot that found the cup that way)! A driver may not be necessary — this shot just had incredible distance and elevation control.
