Hawthorne Manor — Hole #10: Par 5
By Golden Tee Fan • Category: Hawthorne Manor •This hole is easy from the front box — just blast your drive left or right over the wall into the rough…whichever gives you the best angle of approach to the green. Just don’t be long on your approach, because if you trickle over, it’ll cost you an additional stroke to get back on.
From the back box with a side or tailwind, you can still blast a high tee over the wall as long as you are a decent hitter.
It gets tricky from the back box with a headwind, where you likely cannot clear the wall. Instead, play straight ahead in the fairway towards the far end of the fairway before the wall. Believe it or not, you can hit a driver from here over the gate and carry the green, or worst case, the concrete before the green. This is your best approach to try to land an eagle with the toughest setup.
